Question from a reader...

"I heard recently a new op shop has opened at Kingston and that the diplomats leave their old stuff there so it’s good quality, but no one has given me the address. Have you heard of that one? It didn’t sound like the YMCA at Kingston."

Can anyone shed any light on this?

i also have a question. there was a senior citizens centre in civic/turner that had a fete last year in march or may, and again in november, i think.

anyone know of any similar events? and when/if the fete i'm talking about is going to be repeated?

I drove past there last Saturday and saw a sign for another fete this Saturday 28 May.

A quick note: The calendar on the RHS of the main page lists the YMCA garage sale as on the 5th of June. The YMCA webpage has this as the 4th of June.

The only other op shop I can think of in the area is at St Paul's church in Manuka. I think it is only open Fridays and Saturdays.

As I cannot find anywhere else on this site to bring notice to new op shops, I'll add a mention here. "Seek and Find" has recently opened and operates out of the Tuggeranong Bapist Church, Jencke street in Kambah. Open Mondays and Thursdays, 10:30am to 1:30pm.
